Lack of Blogging Revisited...

So about a year ago I know I stated that I would be working more on my blog.  I know this it totally a "boy who cried wolf" situation but please believe me, whoever is reading this, I definitely plan on picking this back up.  I was recently urged by a friend who stumbled upon this abandoned project to continue and I have decided he might just be right.  In conjunction with this I will also be working on my own website so you lovely folks can view more of my art(yay!), and tweeting more so you can read all my inconsequential and silly thoughts(double yay!).  So how has my 2012 been going you ask?  What have I been up to?  Has this year been great?

Well this year has had ups and downs but on the whole has been above and beyond that terrible 2011.  There have been a lot of shifts in my life; besties moving away, new friends coming into view, and moving into a neighborhood my sister considers "ghetto" because the tub doesn't have a plug.  I took a much needed semester off and my painting has been more productive than ever.  I now am a barista at the coffee shop in the place I have already been working at, that's fun too.

So that's about it.  A very basic and brief outline of the past year.  Here's to a great holiday season if the retail doesn't kill us and a fabulous 2013!  I will see you all soon!

Winter is Coming...

And so is a new blog post!
Like, a real one, with thoughts and feelings and a little saucy humor.  Oh, it's going to be good.  I also promise there will be a fair amount of grammatical errors so if you are into the sport of pointing out others flaws, this is DEFINITELY the blog for you.  Similarly to A Song of Ice and Fire, winter is (finally) coming to Arizona.  It rained today!  I needed a hoodie!  Strange indeed.

So as the semester draws to a close (last final on Tuesday) I am hoping to have a fair amount of time on my hands to paint, explore my mind, better my person, and start the series Doctor Who.  To my sweet sister Catherine, I am broke so that is your birthday present.  Sorry.

Since I am probably the most scatterbrained and addled person I know...here is a list of things I hope to accomplish during the break.  Your job is to hold me accountable.  Please help, you don't know how much I need it.

1) Watch Doctor Who - I have seen a few episodes and I really can't wait!

2) Complete a small series of paintings - I'm thinking a few miniature abstracts.

3) Paint an art nouveau piece - This is a personal painting for my own apartment, you can't have it.  Unless you have money....then we'll talk.

4) Clean my apartment - It's bad.

Well, that should be enough to make me feel like a productive human being for a couple weeks!  Any suggestions?  For all of those reading, have a great weekend and take luck!
